This thread echoes issues we have had in the Darkmod, shame the T3 editor 7 engine werent so hard to use otherwise I would have a go and doing as map in T3.

There are definitely too many things to watch out for and 3dsmax 5.1 is a must for custom content. Actually I think there is one design approach that would be suitable for this engine, and that would be something guys from Bethesda did with Oblivion and Fallout: modular meshes with pre-baked AO, tilesets for everything. Problem is, you'd have to do all that from scratch, since current resources support old CSG + meshes style.
