16 years seems, sadly, to be a very respectable innings for a mostly happy coupling.
Never say never though, who knows what the future brings.

How would this notional subforum handle pathological attention whores who constantly change their username?
Kolya on 1/5/2014 at 16:36
As far as I know changing your username requires mod intervention and is a forum wide change. That's not for any subforum to solve.
SubJeff on 1/5/2014 at 21:24
I hear it requires mod intervention to not be a robot.

Really sorry to hear that, Scots :( Best wishes to all in this...

Thanks guys, appreciate the kindness, but you should know if it weren't for the question being asked about the kids, I wouldn't have said a thing about it. Let's take it off the boards.

Hey gang. I heard there was a bit of a frank and cheerful exchange of ideas going on about TTLG... oh.
*ahem* anyway. I'm not entirely clear on the concept or its utility really, but whatever.
I'm guessing it's trying to add a certain immediacy that megathreads grew out of in the first place, maybe? That bridge between forum and the twitter age internet we've been going on about intermittently for years.
That doesn't seem to address the members conversation thing though (and only members can post anyway, so I'm guessing that's an inner membership being proposed? I don't know)
I thought some of these ideas were called a shoutbox, weren't they? Almost like the chat on the side of a twitch stream. I don't know. Try whatever I guess. Not particularly fussed.

I think replacing mega threads with self deleting transient threads is even worse than what we've got left here, but at least it's emulating a social media style "feed"
