Confused - I just got the aforementioned PSZ-9Md off Petrenko and found, to my surprise, that its stats are identical to a regular SEVA suit. I was under the impression, based off the (
http://stalker.wikia.com/wiki/PSZ-9Md_Universal_Protection) wikia, that this high-end Duty suit was supposed to have about 20% more on Impact, Rupture, and Bulletproof. I was really hoping to replace my SSP-99M Suit with something with a higher rating against firearms, but the "Bulat" SKAT-9M, even if I could afford it, has a lower antirad rating and, worse still, shitty nightvision.
Is there a mistake in the wiki, or is there some sort of bug in my game? I'm running the game patched to 10005, with Complete 2009 and Sid's repair shop slapped on top of that, but neither mod comes with their own outfits.ltx, which I understand is the file responsible for suit stats.
Here's what I have in-game, SEVA on the left, in the inventory, and PSZ equipped.

They're the same.
The mummy suit is the best all around armor. Get the exo for more bullet protection/etc. but nobody does that in the first game.

I somehow remember the "Duty Seva" (PSZDm-9dm-abpfx?) to be the best allround suit too :p
Only difference might be the weight and, if youre playing with a repair mod, repair cost based on price. Seva is 30k and Duty Seva 15k iirc so its cheaper to repair.

Um, what's the "mummy suit"? Exo doesn't really cut it for me, since I couldn't sprint, and the rad protection is piss poor, too.
Bummed about the PSZ-9Md, then. It wouldn't help that it costs less to repair than a regular SEVA, 'cause the stats are inferior to the (
http://stalker.wikia.com/wiki/SSP-99M_Suit) SSP-99M I use anyway.

Maybe it is the military suit? That one is right up there with the exo, 50% bulletproof cap, you can sprint with it, etc.

Yeah, the nightvision is the problem there. Its stats are otherwise probably the best, all in all, so I may be tempted into giving it a shot. As far as I can tell, I've only got Pripyat and the NPP left in the game.

From memory the Duty brand SEVA is about three times the price of the regular model, despite being functionally identical (unless I'm being confused by various mod pricings). That fooled me as well for a while: prestige pricing bias in action. Although you can get a couple for nothing if you do the right jobs.
Even the goofy green scientist suit is the same, but with slightly better chem protection from memory.
You do want a lot of bullet and impact protection as well as sprint for the endgame though, despite the Mil suit making you almost naked as far as radiation goes. I've gotten caught by that one before: areas I could stroll casually though with a SEVA shrivelled me in moments in the Mil suit and I was dosing on antirads every few minutes in the NPP (This is mostly because I forgot what suit I was wearing and didn't have the right artifacts to help me though)

best suit is exo for pripyat. fully upgraded with a few artifacts nothing can kill it. SEVA is only needed for the mission progress, I dumped it once I was in the tunnel, you don't need the extra protection, a good artifact is enough.

Picked up the military suit from the hotel room, I guess I'll just put up with the shitty nightvision. I'm not bothered about the rad rating, 70 should do just fine, and the other elemental stats aren't horrible either.
