In the five years I've been registered here, I've seen a *lot* of things go down. Yet, I have managed to get banned but one single time. And only for a week. I was chasing Stronty around like a 'yappy little git'. :cheeky:
This thread is not trying to make statements about banning whatsoever. So please dont, its risky enough as it is. I just want to know my fellow banmates a little better, and hopefully get a laugh out of it.

Been banned twice. First time 48 hours, somewhat harshly, for posting a link to a PETA video. Second time a month, arguably deserved, for a prolongued period of offensive debating, the tip of the iceberg being when I offensively debated the wrong person. I almost got banned a third time but I pulled back from the cliff before things got too messy. Touch wood I won't be doing anything that puts me in danger of a ban again.
Lessons learnt: (1) TTLG is not a democracy, and the powers that be can ban you for whatever reason they like, so don't piss them off by insulting their significant others. Yes it's unfair and yes it's a double-standard, but who says they have to be fair? (2) Think before you post. If it's going to be overtly offensive, then it might well not be suitable for this message board. Some people get a bit more leeway here but bear lesson number 1 in mind, and accept it. (3) Gingerbread Man is the Yin to David's Yang. Walk the path between the two, grasshopper.

ahahaha, i just looked up broaclanders. holy shit, hahaha. i have the mental image of some ugly, 5 foot tall, moderately overweight kid with a shaved head and a baby face, wearing, i dunno, a static-x shirt and trying to look as pissed off as he can.

I am banned for five minutes of every hour.
Not in a row though.
And not the same five minutes, it changes.
sometimes the five minutes are composed of ten 30 second bans which sometimes ARE in a row someone free me from this tyranny :(

He wasn't always an admin, and IIRC... Digi has threatened to ban him a couple of times (after he was an admin), actually I think he was going to ban me too, for telling him that he needed to take a chill pill, and not be foolish (though I
may have used
slightly more colorful & descriptive language). Then I believe Saam threatened to ban Digi on general principle... Needless to say, we're all still here. :)
