So, how many people under the age of 18 are there around here? I'm 13.
You're one of the youngest Taffers here, I guess  :thumb:
That's promising. Are you willing to make some FM's of your own in the future?
You're very young, considering most of the replies here and you asked a very good question: How many people under the age of 18 are there around here?
I'm curious too ???! :)

I aspire to make my own Fan Missions some day, but it all seems a bit confusing and complex. My dad has done a lot of work with graphics and the like in the past (he designs products for Caterpillar), and he says he'll be able to help me. Where is the best place to go to get a foot on the ladder?

you are allmost at the right place.
:cheeky:
offcourse the editors guild is thé place to be if you want to build missions.

Since no one else has mentioned it: Komag's Complete Tutorial is an excellent introduction to making FMs with Dromed 2. It takes you through the whole process, step by step. You can get it at his website: (
http://www.keepofmetalandgold.com/essentials.htm) The Keep of Metal and Gold (download the file called
KomagTutvT2).

Playing FMs is a wonderful past time and I like getting immersed in the game. As BA mentioned, as long as my machine will play Thief so will I! :D

I indeed am under the age of 18, but that's going to change in two months.

I'm forty and just stopped playing T2 fan missions, the originals were too hard for me on T2, and most authors want to impress with ridiculously hard missions, and the last T3 mission I tried had severe clipping problems, so I ended up outside the map world, and died.
And so died my FMs thirst, bah, back to playing something else.
:erg:
PS
I sucked at thief 2 big time anyway.
