Age 66 here. :) I think I am already grown, although some may have doubts about that. I play Thief almost every day and do a lot of mission testing. I'm thinking vaguely about retirement (from work, that is, not Thief :)). I hope the public release of The Dark Mod comes out fairly soon so I can try mission development as a hobby. I do similar technical things at work so the transition should be easy.
I'll play Thief FMs as long as I enjoy it, and there is no end in sight for that. I have three computers that play Thief and some spare parts. For example, I have two 7950GT video cards because that is the last Nvidia card that plays Thief 2 more or less correctly, and they are disappearing from the shelves. I also have older computers with a 6800GT and even a Ti 4200 if I have a yearning for good sky. I just bought a CRT monitor (leaving me with a spare) because they are disappearing, too, and I prefer the black levels of a CRT. I will not buy a new computer without careful consideration of its ability to play Thief.

There still are many good FMs out there I haven't even touched so far, but I am determined to try them all out!
haha same here:D

Well, as long as people continue to make fms, I will play them. That's my answer. And even then, I will probably play then again if none are made. I have played countless other games but always seem to return to Thief. I'm sure I'm not alone.

At 38, I have no intention of stopping. My mom (58) calls me to discuss whatever FM she's playing, and we help each other when we get stuck. My dad is 68, and, since he retired, he plays games EVERY day (but not Thief :( ). I'm trying to convince my mom to learn dromed since I think it's beyond me. She's thinking about it. Age really is just a number.
As long as people give of their time & talents to make FMs, I will be playing them. I imagine that changing computer technology will be the only thing that will stop me.
Please keep those new missions coming, y'all!!

souds just like me, I've got 3 CRT monitors stacked here, last night at work I hooked my pc to a huge plasma tv and allthough impressive to play thief on such a big screen, the dark area's suck\
I allso have 3 computers for thief. last year I swapped my new video card with a friend who had a 5700 :cheeky:
and yes, I still am hooked on thief, played a lot of other games through the years and they all get boring after a while. allso good thing my memory starts fading, last month I replayed thief 1 and I really got stuck again, :cheeky: had al the fun of re-discovering how to finish the game

TBM - is Gloria implying that we are in our second childhood? :wot:

Everything is a perspective like the term "growing up". This is my perspective, if you do not harm anyone else and you like doing it, why the hell not do it? If everyone listened to what everyone else said and did, think how boring life would be. You have to have that fun in your life, its a necessary balance. Im 20 years old and I can't see myself stop playing thief for any reason. It helps me unleash my creativity. Im hoping the FMs I make are good, if they aren't it does not mean im going to stop ; ). I will get better because thats what im all about, progression. Heh I had to add my own 2 cents in. LONG LIVE THIEF!

But man, some of you guys are OLD! It's gonna be rather quiet on TTLG in around 50-60 years... I might actually have to learn to DromEd, to stack like Azal, ghost like Lytha and troll like ZylonBane. TTLG pride!:D
So, how many people under the age of 18 are there around here? I'm 13.

I'll be 43 in December and I have no intention of stopping to play Thief... The only reason I'll stop is if I cannot get a computer to play it...
Keep on taffin'!!! :thumb:
