I just turned 47, and have been playing Thief for years. I had been playing other games but no one of them got me addicted like Thief, maybe I'm in love with Garrett...............:erg:
Anyway, I want to tell you a story.
Last month I had lost the key to my terrace so I said "Hey, I'm a master Thief after all, let's try with an iron wire, I will pick that lock open!"
Well..............I did not succeed, thanks God I found my key again! :laff: :joke:
I shout things like "don't stand there you idiot" at guards in movies, who stand so it's childishly easy to sneak up on them, they never look round, and the people sneaking up are no better, they wouldn't know a shadow if it hit them in the face and I've heard elephants being more stealthy and as for spotting obvious traps gaaaaaaaaaah, remember the laser corridor in the resident evil movie ? well how about PROPPING THE TAFFIN DOOR OPEN so it can't close and then the laser chops them to bits 'cos they can't get out ..... :nono:
I've stopped going to the cinema and I am receiving treatment honest :o

I will die with my hand on the mouse, holding the blackjack ready. I'll be standing behind a stationary guard so that when I finally leave this world, my last act will be one final knockout. Then my son/daughter will finish the mission.
Course, I'm only 19, so that's awhile away.
But man, some of you guys are OLD! It's gonna be rather quiet on TTLG in around 50-60 years... I might actually have to learn to DromEd, to stack like Azal, ghost like Lytha and troll like ZylonBane. TTLG pride!:D

Boo-ya brother! Looks like were going to need to recruit some more into the fold... Too bad none of the little ruffians in my 'hood have even 1% of the intellect required to grasp even 5% of this game... ::sigh:: Kids these days... :nono:

OLD???! NO WAY!!! You know one count's back their age when going on 50 ....so ... I guess the Blackman is about 30 right now.
YOU still have to get to be 50 ánd get back again ....
by then you'll know the difference between being OLD and
the truth! :ebil:
I hope I'm still around to see this happen :sly:
Keep on
taffing then ... :thumb:
Indeed: TTLG pride!!!:thumb:

I don't think one can be too old to play games. Nowadays they are just a form of entertainment that can appeal to any audience, like books or movies. Some books are intended for younger folk, some for older- same thing with movies and games.
Also, some games I'll keep coming back to no matter how old I am. Simply because of nostalgia. I remember the good times I've had playing Thief and even Sonic the Hedgehog when I was younger still.

Well, what can I say? Being the age of some of the younger pickpockets around here, I was also somewhat amazed to see how wide the age distribution actually is. Thief appears to attract taffers from all groups and ages.
There still are many good FMs out there I haven't even touched so far, but I am determined to try them all out!
