I've never understood this whole idea that people have to act a certain way at a certain age. <snip> It's this vauge, groundless, idea of what "old" people are supposed to look and act like.
Well written! I have always wondered what "Act your age!" really means.

57 yrs old and going strong. LOVE Thief. I assume they let you take a laptop in a nursing home? In other words I will be playing forever.
By the way, I have a 550/pentium2 gateway machine (win98) in my basement that is deemed the "THief machine' adn no one is allowed to touch it. In case new technology (like VIsta) will not runThief/Dromed, I have a backup! Call me paranoid...............
BBB
ps: My wife and kids all play Thief!

The best way to combat that is, every few hours, play standing up for 10 min. or so. :thumb:

Stop playing fm's?
I have dreams where I'm in them! Fortunately, I wake up as the guards hack into me with thier swords, or better yet, go back and do it over 'til I get it right!

I concur on the whole "act your age" crap. When I was a senior (which wasnt too long ago, lol), all the kids were getting cars, cigarettes...hookers... And they actually wondered why i didnt do any of that stuff, and why i still played old games, had an anime collection that filled an entire drawer, and wasnt hooked in nicotine. THA NERVE! Of course, i act like an old geezer when someone disses old games i like, like old-school Ultima Online, Thief, Diablo I, and the other Ultima games. I'm not a graphics whore like most of my...generation. I enjoy games that are actually worth a shit, and when im 190,000, ill still get up of my crusty old ass, grab a coke, and play the classics. Thats just the kinda person i is. :thumb:
