Wow, thought I was old. 53 in a couple months.. just returned to Dromeding after almost a 20 yr break. Been playing FMs that came out in the past 15 yrs or so that I missed; nowhere near caught up.
I recently came to a revelation that I owed it to myself to finish an actual "full" mission, and I'm gonna keep going until it's done.
I hope to never get too old to play Thief, but I feel it creppin' up on me. Another revelation that came to me: the majority of new games coming out just don't appeal to me much anymore.

Certainly I've never ceased "dromeding my life".
I love the dromeding mental process. :D:D:

So, When are you going to grow up and stop playing fm's
That's ridiculous. Why on earth would anyone want to grow up?

I will turn 64 this year and I still enjoy this game and community very much I usually log on at least once a day to see what's being discussed or if anything has been released.
ttlg is as strong as ever in my mind!!

I really don't know how I ended up reading this funny thread, only "just after" 16 years it was posted.
I feel like some kind of "survivor".
I'm 52, as of now.
I'm still playing Thief (I began 25 years ago).
Sometimes I do some gardening, sometimes moaning about the weather, always listening to classical music.
I probably never quite grew up, who knows, or maybe I should say who cares.
Certainly I've never ceased "dromeding my life".
I love the dromeding mental process. :D:D:D
Cheers!
I'm planting tomatoes and replanting existing & planting new seeds of peppers this weekend. Possibly some other stuff as well, we'll see. I really look forwards to our fruits in the summer/fall/winter though: blackberries, raspberries, elderberries, dewberries, blueberries (notice a trend?), satsumas (Mandarin oranges to the rest of the world), and grapefruit.. seems like a lot, but it's such a short time of year it's all available.
Classical music is great; I've been going through my massive collection again lately. I listen to all kinds though. Well, except for a small few.
Most weather I can handle, but the heat is just oppressive down here. We've already had 90 degree weather in February! I could do with no hurricanes or tornadoes as well.

I'm 40 but feel like 60+ all my life because I'm an old soul, na mean. I don't see a reason why I should stop playing FMs, especially after I set up Xpadder and play FMs laying back in couch with a controller.
szabikka on 3/3/2023 at 12:33
Well, I think, until my computer can play them. I like to go back to really good ones I have played before and I like to try the new ones also. I played Roofs of Gold, When still..., The last lighthousekeeper, Endless rain, Disorientation and Bathory countless times. These are my favorites. Actually, just reading and answering your question got me in the mood to play one of them, so I think it's time to begin... :D

I'm 29 and the hours I've spent on Thief 1, 2 and specially FMs already are orders of magnitude higher than any other game I've ever played. This is the reason. Plus the community. The relatively older community makes it more appealing to me.
