No one here watches The First 48? Maybe im twisted but I love that show. Often takes place in my city, too!

I also like Discovery (Science, History Int'l, Military, Biography, Travel) Channel types of shows ... The Universe, How the Earth was Made, Nova, Modern Battlefields, Master Blasters, Naked Archaeologist, Biography, any History special on a country I didn't know much about... And Headline News is the default channel.
I usually keep to the non-fiction unless it's a really great show.

Yeah, I find Discovery and History to be pretty good channels, mostly for stuff like Man vs Wild, Mythbusters, and Mail Call.

Oh yeah, forgot Season 1 of Twin Peaks.
Suffering through season 2 at the moment. Oh god, Lynch you indulgent fuck, I hate for all the James plotlines and the whole Ben Horne Civil War breakdown but a lot of the other stuff is gold, including every time Nadine is on the screen. If only the Wyndum Earle stuff had kicked in earlier and gotten more gruesome and hard-hitting.
Anyway, I just gotta say that Big Love just kicked into another gear last night. This show is fucking phenomenal. Last night was the culmination of about two seasons worth of a character's discontent finally catching up with her and destroying everything she holds dear.

No love for Doctor Who? Yes, it's silly, but it's high adventure and good for a laugh.
RavynousHunter on 16/3/2009 at 01:06
Forgot that one, my bad. :p Yeah, add Dr. Who to the list.

Jesus you watch a lot of TV. I thought I was bad. My list can't even begin to compare:
Favourites amongst stuff that's still being made:-Big Love
Dexter (haven't seen any of season 3 yet)
Jesus, is that it? I guess I don't watch Lost, 24, Heroes, or any of the other big shows that currently air. I've got the entirety of The Wire though...

The Sopranos
Deadwood
Rome
Sex and the City
Firefly
Arrested Development
Northern Exposure

That said, I've watched a lot of TV that never reaches this list, christ, in my teens I devoured shows like: Star Treks, The X Files, Friends, American Gothic, Dark Skies, and when I got older a lot of sitcoms like Scrubs, The Office, Def Comedy Jam, Seinfeld and so on get some airplay, but I'm quite particular about what becomes a "favourite" in my eyes. This is without mentioning the shows of genuine promise like Charlie Jade that just don't ever get picked up and followed through.

EU02 - is it that no one really cares for the first Black Adder series (the only one which Rowan Atkinson helped write), or that the others were just so well done that the first is shadowed by their brilliance?
Also, did you not watch Red Dwarf?
----------------
All-time favorite show would have to be The Twilight Zone. Rod was the man. And I do enjoy a good Robot Chicken (though I have to wait for the DVDs).
