Clearly you are not paying enough attention to the plot. And Yvonne Strahovski.

You mean theres more to her than just wearing hot dresses and leaping around all a-jiggling?
I cant believe we have to wait until 20-fucking-10 until Season 3 is out for Chuck...

Well, the plot explains what dress she has to wear that week.

I can't believe no one mentioned How I met your mother yet. That show is clever, hilarious and Barney Stinson is the awesomestest character ever. Neil Patrick Harris rules.
I finished The Wire S4 a couple of weeks ago and the last episode was just tragic. The extras on the DVD show the behind-the-scenes stories and backstories of the writers and stuff, very interesting. The characters are based on real people, several actors actually used to live there in the corners, the Deacon guy was even a kingpin and one of the writers arrested him back when he himself was a cop...!
I love that show, they managed to pull off a sense of authenticity that puts it apart of the rest.
I also caught up with Chuck but I can't decide yet if a third season is a good idea or not.
Also, finally got Twin Peaks S1 and loved every bit of it. Even after building up expectations for 20 years...(really!) Is S2 really that bad?
I think The Unit ended well. At first I was disappointed that it wasn't renewed but then I thought what the hell... It had a good run and I don't want it to turn into 24-lite. It's good that they stop while they're still good for once.

I think season 4 was definitely the most tragic for me. Bubbles' last scene... god, even thinking about it is heartrending. Randy and Carver's scene in the penultimate episode. Bodie. Incidentally, it's also my favourite season, followed by season 2 (which also had a tragic penultimate episode).

Personally I like the last episode a lot, but lots of people hate it. There are some okay storylines, but there's a lot that I'd skip if I watched the series again. Some of season 2 feels very much like someone trying to imitate Lynch and failing. And where season 1 had surreal humour that clicked, season 2's humour often falls flat. Also, IMO the weirdness of season 1's 'mythology' was evocative, whereas in season 2 they get more complicated in their mythology, to the detriment of the series. Wyndham Earle is okay enough, but he's simply not half as scary as Bob.
It's probably still worth watching it once, mind you.

Spoilers dude! I was trying to be vague on The Wire for those who haven't seen it yet. :)
Totally agree though. It's like no matter how hard they try, they always get thrown back in...
I think I'll just rent Twin Peaks S2 then.

Twin Peaks ends pretty well, but the stuff in between in s2 too often starts to resemble a million other TV series you've seen before. The young people bits become interminably soapy. Characters are suddenly chess masters when the plot needs one. That kind of thing.

raph, season 2 contains some of the worst excrement a series can possibly shovel on its beloved status but through the worst of it all (in my opinion) manages to retain a shred (or half a shred) of artistic credibility in the closing 3 or 4 episode arc of the season with regard to the Bob mythos - in between that, the Wyndum Earle arc contains enough compelling stuff along with a few other incidental bits that the main atrocities (don't click what's next it's only for those who have seen it) James's useless fucking arc and the horrible Ben Horne goes crazy subplotp aren't quite so sucktastic.
And unlike most, I urge people to watch Fire Walk With Me. It's one of the scariest pieces Lynch ever conceived in my opinion.

Ditto. It helps that you've come to care about the characters (if you've watched the series), but that film has some of the most compelling scenes in any David Lynch movie, at least IMO.
