Go through the double doors at the entrance of the keep walk a ways forward then turn left and look up. There is a lower ledge you can get onto by jumping on some fallen beams and stuff. Takes a little trying once your up there you can see a trap door but its partially covered by the fallen brick wall, argh prolly nothing but thought I would share.
Also, near the pigs and chickens there is a wooden stick that is exactly like the one the goblin lord drops and was thinking maybe there is a hidden lever somewhere that its fits into? Am I making sense?

There is a broken lever in the second room from your cell, but by the time that you get a stick for it, there is no way back to that room. Its worth keeping in mind for the full version though.

Yes. I had the same reflection. But I think the broken lever in the prison is simply the one of the cell you escape through.
About the trap on the roof of the keep. It can't be open (neither is it actionable).
I've even tried to stack benches to just onto the very top of the keep but it seems that you can't go higher even if it seems possible.
I think it's a deliberate constraint from the designers because they did not model the geometry of the roof (in order to reduce the polygon count and increase the frame rate).
However, I hope they always thought of a way to prevent us from seeing missing polygons because it reminds me Ultima 8, where I stacked objects to jump over the high rocky walls in caves. Which only had the effect of running out of the map and displaying bugs. :)

there's an other lever for your cell : there is 3 mechanism in this control room : 2 functional lever for the 2 portcullis, and a broken one
I know it's not the U8 bugs but if you want to see the walls from outside, try to go to the small bridge near the spider's room ; once there jump into the the water, crouch to go in the tube and look around...

I didn't think you could do it without them. Way to go. :) I've also been through the ceiling in that area, and there doesn't seem to be anything there.

There are three pieces of wood scattered through out the rest of the level. I've tried it and, in the demo at least, it doesn't do anything but make noise. Also if you stand under the doorway next to that lever and look up, you can see that there is a spot for a door.

However, as for the fishing pole (made with a rope and a pole) for which I'd like to have a way to recover my rope and my pole by unmounting the fishing pole, I'd like to be able to recover my piece of wood (that may be used as a lever). Also, when a torch is completely burnt out, it should perhaps then become a piece of wood, rather than disappear.
If it was possible to make a torch from a piece of wood and a cloth, it should be possible to remove the piece of cloth and get the piece of wood back. I don't want to be unable to open a porticullis with a broken lever, just because I used the lever as a torch.
And I don't want to be unable to use a rope where it's needed if I used it on a fishing pole. I know there are 2 ropes in the demo and only 1 pole and 1 place to use a rope. But... You know what I mean... Just in case you missed an object, you still should be able to use the one you already have, even if it has been combined with other objects. Of course, ONLY IF the combination did not deteriorate the objects... I understand that you can't unmount an apple pie to recover your apple, flour and water. :)
Well... I'm not totally sure of what I wrote as it would certainly introduce too much not-that-important work (as well as possible new bugs if all the possibilities are not studied well) for the developpers...

In fact !!! and the open actual aspect of Arx introduces enough problems (as you could picklock every doors for instance... what for scripted elements ?)
maybe in Arx II ? :cheeky:

Le Magot d'Ozwhat for scripted elements?Hey, that reminds of another bug. :D In the 'secret' room next to the elevator in level three there is a key. When you pick the key up a rat will then attack you. Nothing new there. But if you
use (double click) the key to attach it to your keyring, instead of picking it up, it does
not trigger the script. :o
