Hm who said Polito was dead at begining?:) maybe she killed her later after Shodan find out shes weak? im not sure but Shodan said something about Polito becoming her avatar but she was to weak so maybe first emails are from Polito but when she finds out player is much efective tool she kills Polito like Delaxroix...any way if i remember body of Delaxroix is in Cargo bay on deck6 and Shodan says you cant enter there if you enter you find audio log about Shodan back stabing Delacroix but if you find Polito body it looks like she killed her self...
Or becouse Shodan like this voice better more scary? but well i never jumped becouse of that midwifes had better voice...

SHODANs voice wasn't ever explained, was it? It changes during the intro to SS1 (and she starts using 1st person rather than 3rd at the same time, iirc.) The emails you get through the game are from SHODAN, not Polito. She says as much when you get to the office, right? Since you're the replacement for Polito ("I thought Polito would be my avatar...") it isn't her giving you implants and instructions.
And how could you not like that voice ?! :nono: That's what would make the dating sim so much fun!

That wouldn't make any difference, as at least one of the 'Polito' mails is rather blatantly meant to be SHODAN impersonating her. SHODAN's stutter is presumably meant to be an aural representation of the 'damage' caused by the hacks that went into removing her ethical constraints and the subsequent shift in thinking and priorities. To sound like Polito, on the other hand, all she has to do is copy Polito's voice from previous samples.

I'd imagine that since SHODAN sees herself as a god, she'd just see the stuttering as a sign of perfection.

Close, but since installing the God upgrade, Citadel Station and the Von Brawn simply don't have the system requirements to run her, hence the stutter.
