Rooney wins at the 'worst time to lose your temper, ever' competition

As I said before, it's good to see that traditions are still what they used to be. Spain enters the World Cup announcing themselves as virtual winners, do great in the first matches, then crashes out in the first serious challenge they face. And England goes out on penalties :cheeky:

C.Ronaldo disgraceful. Carvalho odious.

http://pwp.netcabo.pt/gpandrade/slb/antacid.jpgI heard this is good for someone in your condition. Too bad Ricardo was in the zone.
Now I have to do something unnatural for me tonight, which is to root for a Brazil victory. France is our bête noire, and no way I want us to face them in the semis.

Bland, predictable, nothingness.
Come on the Germany vs. Brazil final.

Crouch superb? I think that's a little rich. He's supposed to be a striker and he failed miserably at that. I agree about Hargreaves and would say the same about Lennon, but I'm stumped as to why that twat sven took him off the pitch. Also thimbs up for the English defence in general.
Ronaldo more like loudmouthed cheating catholic faggot - at least the Portuguese will have something to talk about for a while in between serving chicken burgers at water parks :(
And what was Beckham's problem

He obviously didn't want a nineteen yearold in a position where he'd have to take a decisive penalty. Not that it would've made a difference, what with this being England and all.
Also, Ricardo is pretty fucking amazing. Saves three out of four, and has his fingers on the one that went in.

Obviously. Because Sven has made so many good decisions during his tenure as England coach.

If this match and this tournament finally ends the English media's sickening love-in with that brainless liability Shrek and the useless Frank Lampard, then defeat will, on balance, be a good thing.
Crouch was brilliant once again and it was a testament to Shrek's poor performance in that lone striker role that we looked a better attacking outfit with ten men than we did with eleven.
Lennon, when he came on for Beckham, who was utterly wretched yet again, added so much to the team, and frightened the living daylights out of the Portugal defence, proving that he will be a major force for England in the future.
Hargreaves was head and shoulders the best player on that pitch today. I hope that the new England manager will persist with Hargreaves in that holding role because he's clearly a better midfield option than Lampard.
Portugal's players hardly covered themselves in glory with their theatrics, and Ronaldo's antics especially would make him the most hated man in Britain next season if, indeed, he wasn't already superglued firmly into that position.
It's an entirely appropriate end to the international management career of the piss-poor Eriksson, although I don't see Steve McClaren having the bollocks to do what is necessary: stripping Beckham of the captaincy, dropping Lampard and picking players based on their performances on the pitch rather than their reputation.

Still, at least Theo Walcott will have some good holiday snaps!
.... oh ok then

NOW, I´m really starting to enjoy the world cup. Ricardo is becoming the evil nightmare for the poor Britains...
Good bye, England! (same procedure as every world cup!)
Adios, Argentina!
Tschüss, Holland!
Dainem - proud Fußballdepp
P.S. let´s hope the british yellow press will not start a hunt on the referee Elizondo...

I'd still like to know why do you say Carvalho was odious Stronts. Was it because he made a nearly perfect match?
As for Ronaldo, you can say whatever you want about him - I hate his guts, and agree that he dives too much. And what's worse, the media here insists on trying to make him some sort of footballing genius, when he's nothing of the sort.
I also agree that Hargreaves was the best english player, and Crouch did a very good job in his role as a lonesome striker. Lennon was very dangerous when he came in - a lot more than Beckham ever was (although if you hate diving, Lennon seems to be quite an expert in that department too).
