I just wanna take a moment to thank Muzman for starting this thread, because its during threads like these that I learn the most about my fellow taffers. Taffers that I once had disliked or simply not known much about are suddenly cast into a different, more endearing light. Thanks again. :thumb:

One day you all will peek in commchat and it will just be me there. A tumble weed will blow by and a sign will creak on a busted hinge. I'll look up from killing a rat with a piece of rusty rebar and cackle wildly. Then I will ask you to dinner as I wave it back and forth. If you don't say yes I will chase you with the rebar.
Really people godammit. I might cheat with Something Awful or Straight Dope but you know I love stories baby, it don't mean nothin. Them other forums got nothin on you. You my number one. Come back to me baby and I promise I'll never sleep with your sister again. Sigh. I always feel personally responsible when somebody leaves like I wasn't interesting enough or... perhaps too hysterical and self important? Then you don't hear from them and it's like they are dead and there is a delayed mourning of sorts. That sucks. I always say they had their reasons and we have to respect it but damn. Am I going to be the last drunk at the party?
I can't even add anything new here. I was going to post "UR so crzy grl ima get widja" as one of the reasons new posters may appear less here but I was beat there too. Go on go. *chunks rock* Go. I never loved you anyway. :(

Yeah. All us sadsacks talk about moving on to bigger and better things, leaving the old stomping grounds behind like so much dust in the wind. Though deep in the darkest cockles of our hearts, we know we won't be able to leave it completely. I mean comeon. After 10+ years, hitting up TTLG is practically a reflex action as much as it is anything else by this point. Even when we all eventually find those bigger and better things we're always talking about, you know we'll always be checking up on the old boards. Maybe a few of us will even go so far as to post the occasional quip or quote on occasion.
As for me, I don't have any immediate plans on leaving. I'm mostly just lurking about these days. Usually checking out the boards at least twice per. The only problem I have is I'm too damn lazy to post anything. So...no complaints. Just lazy.

I lurked here for some 6 or 7 years before I actually joined. My main reason for being here is Thief, and since TTLG is the best forum on the subject, I'm not going anywhere. I'm also on the Eidos forums, but Thief-wise they're pretty poor compared to TTLG, I think.
TTLG will be around for a while. Thief 4, and the other upcoming games will keep it afloat.

Maybe, but I'll always be there to hold your hand while you puke your guts out the next morning.

So true. TTLG has the honor of having its own shortcut icon on my desktop. And I have absolutely no plans to remove it.
So there.

What Renz said. I follow what's going on but don't post much any more.
PigLick on 1/6/2011 at 18:12
