Been down for over 24 hours now. Think they're just performing database management or have they decided to scrap the forum because of all the rants?

I've just visited. They're up, no problems. Well, they have plenty of problems, but they are human rather than technical. They've already banned a few people, but I can think of a few others who really should be removed. Still, even if they remove some people, I fear the damage has already been done, especially on the DX2 forum.
Hopefully they can get it back on track.

LOL - looks like I've been banned then. Must have been my comments about the DX2 Hud. Ah well. First the Thief channel in MIrc two years ago, now there. Sigh...living outside the norm can be so lonely.:weird:

There is no way in hell you have been banned over your comments on the HUD, Nethawk. If they didn't ban Psion, then you certainly haven't been banned!
I would e-mail the admin if you still can't get in, or, if you can't get on to see their e-mail's, I'll do it for you.

I'm in. Took three days to get in though. Thanks anyhow Chade. Glad to know banning isn't a "common" procedure. I made my peace with the hud anyhow (except that of course I really want to be able to size the hud down through resolution tweaks and an opacity slider - or something).;)

Lol ... definately not a common procedure! IMO, in fact, it is probably the opposite. Maybe not banning, as such, but I do wish the board's were moderated a bit more. And if the ISA people don't have the time (which I imagine they wouldn't) then they should get reliable community people to do it for them, although I can't really think of anyone of the top of my hat, who wouldn't be too quick to ban or threaten people with negative feedback.
The devs themselves are quite interested in negative feedback, I think, as long as it doesn't get to the level of people like Psion, where we knew everything he had to say anyway.
Then again, it is probably also up to the community to just display more resistance to going down in a never-ending argument anyway. Not that I'm exactly innocent here!
