So... Deus Ex: Human Revolution got leaked to P2P networks - by system shocker

If all the positives I'm hearing are for real, I think I just might be able to handle the lack of true melee and the weird(in my eyes) third person implementation. Mostly because there ARE NO games that have all of that stuff that I like (inventory, first-person role-playing, etc.).

The only time where the third person really bothered me was with the ladder climbing. The cover system also absolutely feels like a cheat when you're playing stealth (though playing peekaboo with the stungun made me giggle like a loon), but it's basically a necessity for firefights.
(yes, I'm a hypocrite and downloaded the leak. But I didn't play all of it.)

Such a great soundtrack, great throwback in the sarif office.

Perhaps a weird question, but do dead bodies 'gib' in this game? Or do they just flail around and get thrown in the air by explosives, like in DX:IW? And is there blood spatter? Basically, what level of 'gore' is there, compared to Deus Ex?

I was gutted when 1st heard about 3rd person. This view has it`s place and can be even fun - as long as it`s in a
3rd person perspective game. (
http://www.plughead.net/deus-human-revolution-great-firstperson-experiment) This guy covers the subject and restores hope...
This might even be the title I (usually a 2nd hand cheapskate) will buy on day one (day one of the first major patch that is).
Heh, it`s 2011 and it`s not all gloom and doom....amazing. Maybe PCs ain`t so AAA dead as it seemed some time ago.

It's not all doom and gloom because of one game*?
Doesn't take much I guess
*
fundamentally flawed according to some
First of all it`s back to D & G because I`ve just learned in some parallel thread that above article was full of crap and you can not switch 3rd person off really.
Two, I was thinking also of Skyrim, Battlefield, Bohemia, uhhhm... LA Noire?
Oh ok, IT IS SHIT AND NO HOPE ALL ROUND. To go back to 1999 status quo, that is. But after Bioware/EA Rape of Common Sense recently I needed some uplifting ideas.

I for one am looking forward to the third-person zoomout when in cover. It seems to me to be a fairly logical way of simulating what you would see if you were able to peep over barricades, through wire mesh etc.

F3AR, and Far Cry 3 both using first person sticky cover is pretty fascinating to me in how they so perfectly put a lie to the idea that you have to go to third person for a cover system to work.
But does Fear 3 (only gonna do the stupid spelling once) have a cover-to-cover mechanic? Or do you have to unstick, run over to the next cover, and re-stick?
