So... Deus Ex: Human Revolution got leaked to P2P networks - by system shocker

I got the unfinished build. All I can say about it is when you jump, it doesn't untoggle crouch. Also the game runs at the same low framerate as Deus Ex: Invisible War ran on my computer 5 years ago. And for the guns that have a laser dot, when you look through the sights the laser disappears. Apparently the whole campaign is included in the leak and I haven't had a chance to finish it but the square enix cutscenes are really good and they happen pretty often. And the game weighs in at just under 4 gigabytes, so all it will take is a single layer disc most likely when it ships out.

Holy game that hasn't yet reached the optimization stage, Batman!

No, this is only the April preview build. 10 hours of the game only. I doubt the performance will be representative of the final game.

I got a little deeper into the game. One thing I loved about the first Deus Ex was the user interface. In Human Revolution, the inventory is like a mix of System Shock 2 and Deus Ex 1, where you can increase your inventory with upgrades and it is grid based. Also you earn XP after you kill each person just like in Fallout 3. Here is a first for any Deus Ex game on the pc though, no quicksave button! Even invisible war had a quickload and quicksave hotkey.0

Like I said earlier...this was an April preview...for the media. It's not finished. I'm sure a lot of this stuff will be in the final version in August.

What Matthew and New Horizon, this is not review product, it's not meant for the general consumer and it doesn't have to be representative of the final version in terms of performance, usability or even assets to a degree. Still a ways to go. In fact, as a Deus Ex fan I'd probably suggest not spoiling yourself with this preview build and waiting for the real deal.
Also, I imagine you're well aware of this Shocker, but just in case - please take care that you don't slip in any plot spoilers for those of us waiting for August.
I'm actually pissed off this got leaked. I was prepared to go off the grid from launch day for as long as it took me to finish the game, but now it looks like I'm gonna have to try to fend off spoilers for the next three months. Bummer.

Meh, what happens in the entirety of the leaked content doesn't spoil anything about later in the game. It really does feel good to be playing Deus Ex again after all these years. Also, there is tessellation.

Cheers, there's some comfort in that. I'll still be trying to dodge spoilers as much as possible, 10 hours of a 20-30 hours tops game is still quite a lot. And on another note I really should start thinking on whether it's worth waiting for Ivy Bridge before upgrading, might wanna see this with all the bells and whistles.

Not going to spoil anything, just saying - it's not slow at all on my PC (3 years old), the first 5 minutes were awesome, after which I was brutally killed by the very first enemy in the game. It's properly difficult.

I was actually on the fence about this game, but reading all these impressions here and those on other forums has made me actually consider pre-ordering.
