So about these gas prices... (American at least) - by io organic industrialism

I wasn't affected by the economic crash, so if these gas prices are the result, I say BRING IT ON !!! Every week, I giggle a little bit when I look at the gas price on the way to work, and see that it has dropped another 5 or 10 cents. In my town it is now down to $1.66/gal from an alltime high of $4.52 during the hurricane/pipeline shutdown of the summer. Now it's back down to around 2002 levels.
I hope it stays down for a while... and I want to take a picture of myself next to the gas price when it hits rock bottom. Anybody want to speculate whether it will go under $1.00 again? Probably not... But it sure would be awesome. I remember back in 1999 when you could get gas for 80 cents per gallon. Those were the days :)

You say that as if it's happened already.

Does the economy make a sound when there's no one listening?

Ironically, it was probably this mentality that got us into this mess in the first place

Right, the problem is, not by people like me who work at a hospital..
I figure -- I got too much other shit going on to be worried about what is going on in the world. I try to stay sane, and when I have a couple spare minutes, I would MUCH rather spend it relaxing playing a video game or listening to some music, than reading world news...
There's nothing I can do to change the world anyway, so will I really care 50 years from now what happened to (insert interesting news item) today? Nope........

That's the argument, all right.
