Not to jock Tuco, but he is right. I've played a thief for a long time, and using cameleon(spelling?) and invisibility takes away from THAT class' challenge. They ARE not needed.
As for myself, the only time I use cameleon is when I run into cliff racers and have no arrows left.
Otherwise I feel its fairly cheap.

wow, i had no idea that chameleon had any effect on the usage of your sneak skill. Does the inisibility actually help aswell? i thought sanctuary made you harder to hit. anyway, great help.

Invisibility makes it so they can't see you, so they stop attacking. Of course, that busts when you do anything (pickpocket, open a door, talk to someone, etc.), so it's only good for scouting around.

Do sneaking and telekinesis work together? When i'm in sneakmode, i can grab things without beeing seen. And when i'm in sneakmode and use telekinesis for a thing 10ft away, doeas this work, too?

That's also a good technique. Just stand behind a pillar or something and use telekinesis.
I've found that invisibility does work when you want to steal something. I just use my invisibility potion/spell, press the sneak button, wait till I see the icon then just walk to the object and grab it. I become visible again but they don't report a crime. That's how I stole deadric greaves somewhere when I was still in a low level.

That works really well, hiding behind something and using telekinisis. I had to use this technique when stealing the codebook from Sottilde in the Southwall Corner Club in Balmora for the Fighters Guild of Balmora. Remember, nothing is impossible with a game like Morrowind. You can even solve a problem such as two guilds coming together and possibly ruining your reputation with the other by simple strategy, like I said in the spoil-proof highlighting. :thumb:
