I'm more concerned with the fact that anyone gives a shit whether the smilies on the REPLY PAGE stop moving, or considers this a problem.
Oh, what the hell... Clicking one of the insta-smilies in the reply window causes a new function to run (namely the javascript insertion of the smilie code you selected), effectively STOPPING the previous function of the page which included displaying GIF animation. By the way, clicking the STOP icon in your browser's toolbar (or the ESC key) will stop animation in GIFs on that page.
Does this happen in all browsers? I don't know and I don't care.
Can it be fixed? See previous answer.

<strike> Amerillo </strike> Amarillo is our fake location we use for things. A long time ago my mom instructed me not to give any clues towards where my location is so I picked Amarillo texas to be my fake location cause it's zip code is easy to remember. 79110.
