"And robots are not a problem: they're blind. "
Yet they still say 'I give thanks for my eyes, as they allow me to see...' or words to that effect. Or perhaps only the big bots say that one.
The robots always amused me because they have Karras's voice indicating that he recorded lines for them. So he would have narcissistically been recording himself saying lines such as "I worship thee oh Karrass..." to program into the robots.

I sometimes wonder if Karras was inspired by Vincent Price's character Dr. Phibes from "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" (1971). There are many similarities. Both created robot servants and Karras sounds like a a Vincent Price impersonator. While Phibes never made his servants recite liturgy or anything, it would have totally been in line with the character.

@Purgator and @Cigam:
You both made me laugh out loud. Thank you! :laff: (Even if it wasn't intentional in the latter's case. And while the eyes may be in question, we know for sure the robots don't have lips or tongue.)
Not only do the Children of Karras get stuck on those stairs, they will levitate above the ground there. I once experienced a Child consistently walking across the stair landings such that, when crouched, Garrett's eyes were in line with its feet. Sometimes on the stairs it would be above Garrett's head. It was pretty amusing.
