I'm sure everyone knows that you can follow Simons in to the interrogation room to talk to the NSF guys (after the hells kitchen level), but I havent noticed any talk of how, if you wait long enough, Simons executes the guys and tells you to go away ("you saw nothing").
Ive just noticed that if you try killing Simons after he kills the NSF, he isnt God-moded, ie. he doesnt turn blue when you shoot him. Does this mean I can kill him now? I havent succeeded yet because i dont have the right weaponry

The blue shield doesnt mean god-mode, it means he is using one of the armour augs (ballistic, energy, environmental). If you gep him and he doesnt die, he's god-moded.
I'm pretty sure if you attack Anna before it is her *ahem* time to die she will not cloak and do whatever other fun augs she has...the others are probably the same way.

I think you have to kill Gunther at the castle with the Killphrase, I tried coming out of the subway, managed to last 10 whole minutes,I can drop most of the troopers but he just wont die. Thats the only real opprutunity you have..

You can kill him... eventually. I think I used the flamethrower, but my memory is sketchy and it doesn't really seem to make sense, come to think of it. There might have been a GEP involved somewhere.:rolleyes:

I did take cover behind some of the pillars at the start.

I used the nanotech sword. It normally takes a few slashes, but I got lucky once and killed him with one slash to the face.
Man I just love that weapon.

But you can't kill him before you get to the castle, that's the only time you have to do it, however you intend to do so.

Gunther too easy? I'm nearly done another replay of DX, and I just ran into the whole "Simons is a total pussy" part.
Full load of BioE, Aggressive Defence fully upgraded, and I was just standing there while he tried to kill me. Once my BioE got to around 1/4 remaining, I figured I'd empty a full clip of 7.62 into him, and he mumbled and fell over.
I seem to remember him at least chasing me around on previous occasions. In fact, I recall nailing him with the track electricity on one occasion, as he was punking me hardcore. And it wasn't just a question of the Aggressive Defence system, because every time I play I have that aug, on account of the MJ12 Commandos being rocket-happy.
I like to chuck LAMs at Gunther before he even says anything.

Both Grunthar and Simons were slashed with Dragon using EMP Shield. And it was on my first play on Realistic. Maybe someone will create 'Tougher bosses', as in ToB? ;)
