Wow; peacocks! Lucky you, Peeper! Here in southern Wi. there's only a small buffalo farm (out near my sister's house) and some of those amazing beasts managed to get loose last night during the worst snowstorm of the season (so far). I was on my way home (from my sister's), driving in near-whiteout conditions, when suddenly there's this huge, hulking dark shape right in the middle of my lane. Good thing I was only going about 20 (mph) because the darned buffalo chose to become muddled & confused while standing in a blind turn in the road & could've caused a nasty accident. Luckily, a man came running in from the field & put a rope around the beast's neck & led him away. Magnificent animals though! I swear as I came to a stop the beast turned it's huge shaggy head and looked at me as if to say ....'wtf?'.
Otherwise, had an absolutely WONDERFUL, chaotic Christmas, took lots of videos (and managed to annoy my whole family by doing so :ebil:), got lots of great loot, felt the love and affection that was totally saturating the whole event, and sang Christmas carols while driving in a snowstorm on my way home (it helped calm my nerves - but did not prevent my leaving finger indentations on my steering wheel by 'white-knuckling it' all the way home).
Merry Christmas to all you wonderful, crazy TTLG'ers!

Lovely photo, Dave :D
Oops, I closed the computer on Thursday evening for almost the whole Christmas, but luckily there's still a little time to wish MERRY CHRISTMAS to all TTLG'ers. And Happy New Year too, of course! :)
Ah, it's been even lazier I expected, the weather got so icy that we decided to skip the Christmas Eve walk we usually do, and today another blizzard hit Helsinki. So it's been basically 3 days of adventuring all over Rome and eating too much, in candlelight, with no phones ringing and no emails to read and no need to go anywhere, just stay home and relax. Perfect! :cheeky:
