We just decided to be bad kids and skip the Christmas Eve visits to anyone. We go to my parents' the day before, to give them the Christmas tree and other presents, and I'll probably stop by again on Christmas Day for coffee and star pastries.
But the "big day", ie. Christmas Eve, we're gonna sleep as late as we want, eat when we want, do whatever we want (most likely includes AC Brotherhood, if Santa got my letter) and make no schedule for the day whatsoever. It's been a long, stressful autumn for us with the big plumbing renovation in the house, so we kinda deserve a completely lazy Christmas ;)
These last days before Christmas, though... Still gotta buy the foods, the wines, wrap a present or two and on Wednesday there's a pre-Christmas cocktail party to attend. But I feel no holiday stress, at least not yet. And forecast says there'll be even MORE snow for Christmas!! :D

Typically the Christmas tradition in our family is, Christmas Eve we go to my grandmother's, then later I go to my dad's or his sister's (usually the latter.) I go home late that night, and in the morning we unwrap presents, have breakfast, then fuck around until the mid-afternoon where we all go to my cousin's place for Christmas dinner. We get out of there late and then I go home and play Doom or something.

Doom is an excellent Christmas tradition. My brother and I generally spend most of Christmas day doing a coop run of Doom or Quake. Quake gets a bit ridiculous though, since with friendly fire off, your own rockets don't hurt you. It's a rocket-jumping bonanza. Also, you drop all your ammo when you die but then respawn with all the ammo you had when you started the level, so you quickly end up with near enough 100 rockets and cells which makes the game pretty easy.
The year before last, we managed to complete Doom 2 on Nightmare, though we did turn on spawn with shotgun and keep keys after death after spending an hour and a half on Refuelling Bay - the doors don't stay open once you've unlocked them, so you have to fetch both keys and then get to the exit without dying and with respawning enemies they only bunch up over time.
I'm thinking this year, perhaps we should try Knee Deep in ZDoom or The Ultimate Torment and Torture. Either that or final doom...

When I was younger my holiday Doom tradition was usually Doom 64. Then one year I got Doom 3, and that sort of expanded my holiday tradition into a wider sci-horror thing going on, and it'd change over time. So, Doom 64, Doom 3, Alien vs Predator 1/2, System Shock 2, FEAR, Dead Space... and now back to Doom again.
