It was the first game I played with Aggressive Defense:
In A51, there was a coupla enemy LAMs played along ladderwells, one of which can be easily deactivated from beneath without triggers. With ADS off, I went and deactivated it. I then wonder if the ADS can detect disabled enemy LAMs, and while still standing underneath it, I switched on ADS ...
Man, my common sense musta went on vacation ...

broken legs + very low health = bad idea to jump down more then 3 feet high.
first time i had finished the statue too. poor jc, he crawled all the way down to totally bust himself by falling the last ledge.

Just got strength Aug and picked up an explosive barrel to have some fun.
Sneaked up on a bot.
Threw barrel - which flew about two and a half feet.
BANG!
I died.
TAKE TWO:
Running with explosive barrel to find someone to throw it at when suddenly run out of power. Barrel drops and I die.

Well, I found this bug in Deus Ex: Game of The Year Edition. I was in the MJ12 labs and I had like 12 health left and I was interfacing with a medbot and an MJ12 troop shot me .005 seconds before I clicked on the button to heal and JC fell to the ground but it said like 47 percent health. Funny, I was dead and alive at the same time.

Seems a lot of these involve LAMs. :-) So does mine. I stuck a LAM on a door and then I was going to get behind a corner to shoot the door out. I wasn't around the corner enough at all.

an upgraded speed aug, and I decide that if I jump off a reasonably sized building I can make it... I jump and I run outta power in mid air :D

1. Find a door that opens toward you.
2. Find a crate of TNT.
3. Drop the TNT in front of the door (crouched.)
4. Open the door.
The door hits and ignites the TNT crate. I got blasted when I want to enter the lower decks of Wall Cloud while bringing a crate of TNT with me. :joke:
P.S. It should be "Color-Cloud-Wall" or "Wall of Colored Cloud," not "Wall Cloud," according to the Chinese characters written on the ship.

hey, I also died trying to jump to jock's room from maggie chow's room, that didn't work out to well when I missed and hit the ground. SPLAT!:eww:

Ive done that. Its fun watching the ground approach you.
But I think the silliest way I've died is when I couldnt get out of ... the above ground sea labs with the karkian because I had lost my legs to lam/tnt.

Coming out of the catacombs in France (where there's a bot or 2 and a bunch of MJ12). I hear all the stuff above me, so I launch a HE grenade out of my assault rifle through the manhole at a very high angle, hoping it'll land just outside and kill some bad guys (and I could reload and adjust my fire accordingly). Just my luck, on my first attempt I shoot it straight up, and watch it coming straight back down. Whoops. I actually used this method to get out of this area (the first time around...later times I went through the other manhole), but couldn't manage to catch a grenade in my teeth again.
I've done some pretty silly things with TNT crates myself. One time (on the docks by the Statue of Liberty) I wanted to see if I could stand on crates floating on the water. 'Twas a bad idea to try TNT crates instead of regular ones (but these sink, don't they?). Also many times I've bashed crates to get the goodies, neglecting to notice the TNT crate on top of them (or accidently hiting the TNT crate itself).
One of my favorite deaths (not really that silly, but it made me laugh for a while) was outside the underwater lab. I saw that tall tower, thought to myself "is that a sniper?", and zoomed in with my own rifle just in time to see that it was indeed a sniper, and that he was aiming right at me. I bet the damn bullet went right through my scope.
My silliest death though wasn't supidity or accidental, just sheer absurd luck. One of my favorite pasttimes in DX is pidgeon hunting with the GEP gun (with full mastery via cheats). Lock on to a pidgeon, fire, and watch the rocket chase after it. Usually the rocket takes out the bird without any problems, but sometimes you can get it so the rocket flys around unable to hit its target. My personal record is over a minute and a half of the rocket zigzagging and looping through the air before it finally tracked the bird down. One time though, the bird was smarter than the rocket, and flew towards me. It couldn't have been more then 5 feet away when the rocket caught up to the bird, splattering me with bird juice and killing myself in the process. I've yet been unable to repeat this feat.
