Hi people,
I've got an old Microsoft SideWinder Precision Racing Wheel (no ForceFeedback) which is, like, ten years old. I wanted to drive in Race Driver GRID with this one, but it doesn't work. Strange thing is the calibration in the control panel works and I can even set GRID to use the wheel and it recognizes it (like steering left is X-Axis left, etc.), but in a race, it doesn't respond. The drivers for this wheel are from 2001 and they are xp-integrated drivers, since the latest real driver package for this wheel was released in 1998 or '99 and is not compatible with XP. In Need for Speed SHIFT it didn't work also, but as I said, in the gamecontroller settings it gets recognized and the calibration is alright. So, any idea how to get this ancient hardware working correctly? I tried xpadder and such programs and they recognize my wheel too when I move it, but they don't improve the car handling, it's just like pressing the arrow keys which is terrible in a racing game. (

It works now. I think I just had to recalibrate it or it was the settings in the "Advanced" section of GRID that I changed, just played around with them. Now, let's race! :)
Thanks,
