Really, when he was elected to the Governor's office, I haid Eliot pegged as possible vice presidential material, but his combative tenure in office was tiresome, and this whole affair tawdry and blackly comic.

I submit, though, that if Spitzer hadn't portrayed himself as a moralistic crusader, this wouldn't be grounds to end his career. If your average politician were to hire a prostitute, big deal: David Vitter is still in office, after all.

Is the LSAT the "law" SAT? What's the scoring range? Does it only go up to 180? Or did you mean to right 1800? Or is he just an idiot?

For what it's worth, I was very dissapointed to see this as the front-page story on every paper. Yeah, this is fun and SCANDALOUS, but this is hardly the most important issue in the world right now; but from looking at the New York Times, you'd think it was.

Also, who was it who was tracking the ring? New york cops, or FBI? Do they REALLY have nothing better to do than go after high-class prostitution rings? I mean, most of the issues with prostitution - STDs, the pimp factor, etc. - come in "low-class" prostitution.

Frankly, I'm surprised that he's resigning over it. But as noted, it wouldn't be a problem if he hadn't been a bitch about prostitution.

His wife CAN'T be having a fun time right now.
