There is this voiceover thingie, and it just won't stop talking. A reboot helped last time but now it also starts yapping after startup. I can press on quit voiceover all I want, the fucker is so so full of himself and it's use that he just ignores me. Removing the program won't do as it's in use, and hitting it might make me feel better but only for a while.

You can turn this off in the system preferences, as I don't have a macbook atm I cant tell you exactly where - but as David has one Im sure he will be along etc.

I most certainly hope so, it keeps reseting my browser to top position when something wasn't fully loaded, it's maddening. There are many reasons why Apple deserves a suicide bombing aside from their annoying odd-glasses brigades but this is just too much. Quit. I clicked on it. stfu.

I accidentally discovered that Cmd + F5 turns voiceover on and off by default. The Preferences option is inside "Universal Access".

If I had a £1 for every user that told me about this little issue I could buy myself a new Freeview box :cheeky:

If you want to prevent it from ever happening again you can disable the keyboard shortcut that does it.
In System Preferences, hit 'Keyboard'. In the left hand column select 'Universal Access' and clear the checkbox for 'Turn Voiceover on or off'.
