Sure, just delete XERXES_.PCX and XERXES_1.PCX from OBJ\TXT16\.
thanks!

Though lord knows why you'd want a texture that's
more blurry than the already blurry original. :erg:
well as I believe I mentioned in another thread, I just think the ambiguity adds to the character. The clearer version isn't bad, I just don't think it's as effective.
Also, I have a gereral theory about character design (imo especially true since games are unable to produce photo realistic characters): artistic or even stylized design choices should be used to achieve a feeling of "realism". This is especially true for the scifi, fantasy or horror genres, since by their nature they have far fewer restrictions on their depiction of reality and you should definitely take advantage of that.
Don't know if that makes sense but basically I don't think it's as straightforward as higher resolution (or newer engine, etc...) = best visual representation of character. Just as applying a fuzzy filter to the orig Xerxes texture wouldn't by default make him a stronger character;).
On the other hand, I was considering adding one of the updated Shodan textures (did you incorporate that into SHTUP?).

Good Lord! Fantastic guys. I didn't realise you were still doing this.
SS2 is much loved but look at all the fan made upgrades. The "beer" sound one whatever it's called, the Rebirth series, that balancing mod thing and this. It's great!

The Xerxes column area on Engineering is a great place to check out this difference.
Except for the droids spawning there.
Is IceNine still around? The pipes are really cool. I wish he could do the railings in that dirty metal look. And the ladders could have black rubber gripping bars. :D

Fantastic! I've got a few days of work coming up so I'm going to grab this and Christines Polaris mission and nobody will see me for a while.

Great work Team SHTUP. Thanks again for making an incredible game even better.
BTW, ZB, did you realize that your readme.rtf file is 4.5 MB uncompressed? 4.5 MB readme ZB? 4.5????
Kolya on 8/9/2007 at 11:40
That would be the embedded bitmaps. I'm pretty sure that's the only image format that will show in a RTF file. RTFs are great for accessibility. PDF might have been a smaller alternative.

Blaydes, I'd be more surprised if a readme.txt file was 4.5 MBs. ;)

Yes.
This doesn't greatly concern me though, since ZIP compresses it by 97%.

After playing Bioshock for a while now, I've got the urge to do SS2 again. Where do I extract the file to? I do have the rebirth mod.
Any help appreciated.
