Actually, alot. The changes to those files are typically small. I'll post more about it tomorrow. I'm at the tail end of a 30 hour day - starting to fall apart.

I have just been on a coach for 28 hours coming back from Italy, so I am not exactly awake at the moment, however...I have plenty of time over the weekend to have a tinker around with the DLL.

I've been trying to catch up with RL since I got back. I should have some time this weekend to get the DLL built. I have all the pieces, just have to fit them together...

sounds like we're close on this :) If it ever gets fully worked out so it's relatively easy to work with, it sounds like this will really be helpful from now on forever! Good luck! :thumb:

Work issues have kept me from finishing this (I'm so close! ), and then today my internet connection goes down. Stupid outage in town, but I'm behind on work stuff.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll finish the DLL and get it to potterr. I need about 4 hours straight with few interruptions and I'll get this done!

Just to let you know I have a first draft of ShadowSpawns DLL now in GL it seems to run fine and compresses and decompresses the IBTs well. Hopefully once SS sorts out the location issue I can get it packaged up and read for download for some of you to test with (in a beta of GL 1.41).
Documentation on all of this will be available on my site, updates on the documentation for the moment will be via this thread:

potterr,
Um, what location issue?
potterr on 30/6/2006 at 21:42
PM'ed you about that a few days ago (it was somewhere in my ramblings). The DLLs run from the Thief3\content\t3\maps folder, however GL doesn't it runs from its install folder. Running the DLLs from GLs folder results in no CNT files found, running from the Maps folder and GL from GLs folder results in no CNT files found (even when passing full paths).
The only way I can see of that not occuring is to have an exe in the maps folder to control it, which kind of defeats the point. There would be the other issue in installing in the first place as during GLs install it would not really be able to correctly determine the T3 Maps folder in order to place the DLL's there (admittedly it would be possible to do that during the config steps though).
The DLL's would really need to run from GLs folder (or any folder) and be able to take a path string for the CNT files location, other than that they are great.

potterr,
Check your email, I proposed a solution. If you like it, I'll code it in and get it to you.
