It is, I have all the code I need to handle determining if the DLL is required and all the stuff around it, but I have not got the DLL to test with yet. However I reckon that it would only take a day or so to add it in a test it before releasing it to beta testers. I will delay GLs release though until the DLL is ready though.

I finally got my laptop fixed up, but then work got out of hand.
I'll have some time this week to finish up the testing, then I'll get some stuff to potterr. Hopefully by mid-week.

cool, :thumb: looking forward to testing it out.

...I am really looking forward to that moment. On the one hand a great advance on FM-distribution and on the other you planned to make a new interface, didn't you potter? I am looking forward to see what you have for us. But I don't mean to hijack this thread, so let's just go on talking about IBTs!! ;)

STiFU, your PM inbox is full.
However I would also like to make a quick request to all the T3 FM authors if they could let themselves be known to me in a PM I will be able to send you all out the beta of GL 1.41 so that you can experiment with the dll functionality in GL, it won't be for a couple of weeks though (obviously after ShadowSpawn has had time to do the DLL).

Ok now there's some space again...
So you mean the authors should put a file in the FM's zip that contains their name? Wouldn't it be better if you implemented something like that in your FM packaging tools?

eh? (you don't mean the competition thing do you?, if so I'll PM you some more info as its off topic).
Packaging the FMs though... I would hope that I would be able to get GL to automatically compress the IBT files using ShadowSpawns dll with the FM packaging tool, as well as GL then inflating them during install.

I'm still on my way back from Scotland, but I managed to fix my bugs while on vacation. I have the re-inflating tools working perfectly.
Once I'm home I'll get the DLL built send it along to potterr. There's an extension I could use to allow the KERNEL and GFX IBT files to also be compressed, but my stuff would need to work hand-in-hand with GL. Anyway, that's a smaller contribution than working on the mission IBT, so that can come along later if need be.
I'll catch up to you when I have internet access again...:p

Glad to hear it!

Would be better of course if they were compressed too, how much in percents their compession can affect mission size?
