My computer has a lot of bang for the buck, but when I look at the cost of getting a laptop with similar specs, the price is significantly more than what this computer cost me to build. My computer cost hundreds, rather than $1,500-$2,000 for a laptop with the same specs.
In 6 months, will the laptop technology and cost be much different than the stuff out now? I really don't need a laptop at the moment, but I'll be traveling for work soon.
One of the only things gaming-wise I'd be doing is Flight Simulator X, but that's a hog. Even on my rig I have to be careful with the settings to keep it smooth, and to get a reasonably priced laptop now, the specs have to be significantly lower.

I would wait and see if the one you want goes on massive clearance when it becomes "obsolete" (lol) from the next series coming out. That's what i did and saved about 1/2

Any sub $850(£425 laptop with a ati radeon 9+/nvidia 6+/intel GMA900+ and core duo/Core2duo cpu will be more than capable of playing FS-X
