Ok, I investigated a bit how to do the voice packs for TomTom.
First, there are 59 different phares that would be needed to record & edit. These are:

Output at 22,050Hz mono and encoded with OGG Vorbis.
It looks like that the voices are made by dynamically combining these phrases above, so you cannot add extensive intros and outros to each of them. There was a recommendation that "humorous phrases" should be limited to those which I marked with a "
*". ;)
So I need a voice actress and an editor. Volunteers? I'm happy if I can get an english version, but it would be cool to have my own language as well (finnish). I can try to get the voices recorded if there is an editor around here who would be willing to do the editing work. I do know something about digital audio and stuff, but editing isn't my cup of tea, althou I can try to learn it if I had time :)
After the voices are ready, it's only a matter of indexing them and compiling a packet that the TomTom can use. There are handy software for this purpose around the interwebs. Ohh and there can also be an accompanying voice image of 160x160 px saved as bmp. I think I know a few good candidates for it ;)
