How is it possible that Shodan could get into a human being in the end? Program codes are incompatible with live organisms...
Was that really Shodan that Rebecca turned into or was it a part of Many? As I understood, she was bitten by a spider so she could turn only into one of the Many...

You're probably thinking of Tommy, who was bitten by a rumbler. As for program code being incompatible with humans, that's not a show-stopper. The question is whether "information" can be transfered from an inorganic life-form to an organic one. If humans are capable of imprinting new information in their own brains, it should be perfectly reasonable to assume that information in the form of digital code can be converted into a compatible form. It's the technology used to make a suitable interface for the data transfer which requires a greater suspension of disbelief since Rebecca is not portrayed to appear any different than a normal human (no plugs or sockets surgically implanted).

Rebecca was bitten by a spider.
Anyway, considering Shodan used the FTL drive to "reprogram time and space" around the VB and managed to get Goggles into a recreation of Citadel, I suppose she wouldn't have had much trouble inserting a copy herself into Rebecca when the FTL wave reached the escape crew capsule. Whether it did or not remains to be proven, but that's a good starting point for a coherent explanation.
Or maybe she found a way to hack into her civilian-grade implants before Tommy's and Rebecca's escape. Or you could invent a QBRM-related explanation after she says she's hurt in Ops or the spider bite. I still like the FTL explanation best.
And anyway you look at it, the medusa-like haircut at the very end is as ridiculous as Goggle's "Naah", it's simply the result of not enough sleep, time or money to give the game a proper ending. We're stuck with a poor cutscene, so don't look too hard for an explanation.

Hmm.. I guess I forgot she'd been bitten. My bad. What's wrong with the hair though? I mean it's not made of snakes, it's just loose hair flying all over the place. If she's got a lot of electricity in her body from Shodan, it could all be standing on end, flying around  The ending kinda stunk as we all agree but I think it reached a low before that particular cutscene.

Maybe... maybe because it's a video game... :o

Nice spoiler in the no-spoier section and the topic title so you can even see it from the fucking main forums page as last replied to thread.
You dickbutt.

My assumption is that Shodan put nanomachines in her, which took over her higher brain functions etc. Not that different to how the many took over people, but from a technological method.
