The kicker is that this idiot writer (who couldn't even remember the name of WOPR in Wargames, instead calling it simply "Mainframe") obviously ran out of ideas before he ran out of article space. Seriously now, Wintermute and Multivac? Nobody's even heard those computers talk except in their own imagination. And...

Good one, beats the hell out of the Red Queen and such. I mean, torturing people for a hundred years? Not even Shodan is that mean.
Now that I think about it, it's kind of weird that the guys in that game/book (haven't read the book BTW) can still function, talk and reason normally after a hundred years of torture. Most people would probably be irreparably insane by then.
