The overall arc of this thread's got me wondering about the capacity of some members of this community for humor. 'Twas not the intention to spark a debate over the quality of the puns. Admittedly, I enjoy a joule of a joke, no matter the form. I feel pretty wired when I see a community galvanized for such a cause. Some find puns degrading. Ion the other hand, appreciate a chuckle.
