Your English is very understandable, Raph. :thumb:
I can't be much of a critic about video content because I don't
know what should / should not be included in a basic tutorial.
The introduction with screens and narration feels good.
(reducing my resistance to trying DromEd myself)
So... Thanks. :) I'll watch more like this.

I thought it had a nice flow going...good pace, etc. Yes, the shortcuts would be worth mentioning. I noticed you used the keyboard to zoom a couple of times...i've still been using the stupid right click menu to do that. You did well to spend time to explain things but I thought in some cases you were repeating yourself or perhaps dwelling a bit too much on a basic principle. That sort of detail would be good for some of the more advanced topics that might make a user scratch his head. However when it's something like carving out an air brush it gets a bit tedious and since it's a video the user can always rewind and watch again provided you explained it properly at least once.
Very good all in all. Want to see more for sure. :thumb:
P.S. Say George, not horhay lol.

"blah stuff blah blah.. aaand... I think I already said that..."
I'm halfway through writing the second one before shooting so this shouldn't happen again ;) Good point about it being a video (I know, duh, but I mean for the rewind bit), in the workplace people just come back at my desk like the following day to ask the same question again, so frequently I tend to explain the same thing several times in the first sitting...
And ok, I'll call it "George" from now on if that's easier for everyone. Come to think of it, anyone knows why it was called Jorge in the first place?

Something to do with The Name of the Rose, IIRC. There are a few threads about it flying around.
Oh yeah, you mentioned right-clicking and choosing solid+selection, but not that you have to hold right-click to use those menus.

Noted, I'll clarify. Thanks.

That's what I always called it. :p

The folks at Looking Glass Studios have stated that Umberto Eco's book
The Name of the Rose was an inspiration to Thief: The Dark Project. There's a monk called Jorge in that book.
He's blind.
Seeing the picture here?
Yes?
No?

A hard 'g', more like 'Djorg' for me, rather than the soft 'g' of 'George'.
Someone should really make a poll in The Editor's Guild about which way people pronounce it... :D

The monk is Italian iirc. Might want to take that into account.

Watching now. So far, so good, but I do agree that you would benefit from a script. Also, you may want to mention that you are using the ShockED Toolkit, as the unmodded ShockED has a different set of menus and options.
So...why did light_bright not work the first time?

Heh. Same with DromED. My first encounter with the program was through ShockED, so I looked at the name and assumed it was to be pronounced "shocked" due to the obvious humor. That then flowed into DromED, which I pronounce "Dromed." I never even thought of the fact that it could be pronounced raph's way.

He's not using the ShockEd Toolkit. Those aren't my menus.
