"Hey, woher kommst du in Deutschland?"
...sounds just fine to me. You can say "hey", it's somewhat casual but no more than in English. You might swap "in" for "aus" (out of the set that is Germany) but really, no one will blink an eye if you don't.
If you're interested you can always drop by our chat, ZymeAddict. You wouldn't be the only one learning a bit of German there now and then.
Thanks for the tip Kolya. :thumb: And I think I'll take you up on that offer, but which chat exactly were you referring to?

they could steal it for their subseven, net-bus or backoriffic
Hello, is this 1998? Hello Mr. Gibson, can I have my megabyte back please?
TRANSLATION: SubSeven, NetBus and Back Orifice are well-known script trojans from the golden age of Internet Explorer dominance and no firewalls. Why anyone would build an obsolete trojan virus into a homebrew program with extremely limited target audience must be part of the mystery. I still blame Kolya ;)

Its all Kolya`s dodgy doings. Everyone shake your heads in shame at Kolya.

Better close the curtains.

I'll call the police again. Kolya's more dangerous than I gave him credit for.
