I may be way off base here, but it looks like that page is simply saying that the Sun java runtime engine isn't "free" so they can't include it by default. It doesn't mean that you have to pay for it - just that there are restrictions which stop them doing it ((
http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debian-java-faq/ch6.html#s6.3.5) http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debian-java-faq/ch6.html#s6.3.5 would seem to be relevant).
As far as I know it shouldn't have much of an impact on you distributing your application - you're in the same situation as any other java developers.

thanx Al_B! :cheeky:
Im very busy and surrounded by a punkgirl! :ebil:
I copied the wrong files an lost some work but a hacker did his work too!
anyone remembrs the version changes of 3.02.08
this is a very  virus :ebil:
the impact dont cares I think, because of this simple io and design... the cfgs are writen in three different ways! currently I'm wondering, for what the user2.bnd worx? the chatbinds will first only exist for F1-F12 in user.bnd.

funny pics here, by you guys! :ebil:
if shodan would meet the new metal age in system shock 3...
I 'll make a looking glass for this case hrhr
I preffer debian as os, because of its docs! but with java support, it could be fedora! I would download them, but I give up with Inet, because there is an idiot hacking me! next I will play system shock 2! also freedom force vs 3rd riche the first time! but I have to got glasses for my eyes first :(
I would really appreciate if you could discuss two things!
1. please give a short feedback on shockcfg 3 for the forum users.
2. please discuss file-formats of cfg-files and bnd-files.
the current state of the program is, because the changes for 3.02.08 are lost: you should only dowload the source code version, and read through all the code, before you run it.
If I get a new computer, I will have a closer look at the bnd files. may be I will add the complete binds to shockcfg.

I think a much more interesting conversation could be had discussing your state of mind, man. That post of yours jumped back and forth so many places so fast that I wonder what you've got to be like in real-life conversation.

I suspect he`d talk alot like one of those people in Bioshock

yeah, this is shizophrenia! :cheeky:
I reallized now that this debian thing only supports java 1.5.0! another problem is, that I dont know how shock 2 handles the bnd files! I will check that out and make a thread for this...
third how could sc3 treat bnd files? I suggest the following:
two different views for action and inventory(which parts of cyberinterface could xerxes control?).
also there will be the following order: every key is assingned an editable combobox.
so if I have the keys lables and coboboxes, how could I add chatbind and savename? I want a solution, that is what it is and makes that interactivelly without events! :sly: so the combobox is not editable!?
Is it right, that savename is a item of jcombobox?
and the chatbinds are a additional editbox?
thanks! :thumb:

I think now you did not just jump back and forth in a conversation but even in the message boards. That post could fit better on a java board. But that's just a wild guess.
Even though I nativly speak german myself I have a damn hard time figuring out what's going on here. I probably should visit a shrink when I'll be able to instantly understand a post from Ir0NiXdark though. :P
