I really want to do the Magnum. Fucking love that cannon of a handgun. :) It's a shame that there's very little in the way of references for the weapons. Do you know of any concept art for SS1 besides the cyborg warrior, cyborg Deigo, and cyborg assassin? Something that might help a bit more. I've been doing searches for the Rob Waters concept art... Can't find anything else
I met Robb a few years ago and unsuccessfully tried to get some more of his concept art. He had a few other enemies concepts (virus mutant, avian mutant, gorilla tiger mutant), many of which were auctioned off. (Interesting bit of info - Warren Spector ended up with the Gorilla Tiger Mutant. I got the Aviant Mutant) I never saw anything along the lines of weaponry, though.

Sweet. Mind posting a picture of the avian mutant?

I would if I had a scan/scanner.

I think it's just a render in a modelling program, but it'd look awesome in a world rendered by a game engine too of course. :)

I've stopped any serious work on this until my computer's shipped in a week. When my mmmmonster system comes in, I'll get Max 8 and Photoshop installed so I can get back to work. This laptop sucks for 3D creation.

If you all "seriously" want to see this come to life, then I HIGHLY suggest having people who are capable doing 3D design work on this project.
This is what you could do (based off my experience with my current production, a team gets the job done faster and reports to one person overseeing the project).
~Have one team work on minor objects (barrels, boxes, med kits, patches)
~Have another team work on floors and walls (with their attachments)
~Have a lighting team working...on the lights, as well as their structure
~one team of 16 peaople can work on characters
~one team can work on fire arms
~one team can work on cinematics
~ two teams can work on the structure of citadel
~ and an audio team to work on the logs and pictures
programmers might be needed too.
This is after all, just my point of view, this is how I get things done.
Do as you wish.
Good luck!

And where are they supposed to get all those people from?
Seriously, CCP had (briefly) one modeller good enough to make AI meshes, and nothing has been heard from him in a while. There simply don't seem to be people with the skill interested in helping such projects.

I don't need a team for each object!! I happen to be able to build most of the things in that game with no issue, it's just finding time. My mmmonster system got here two days ago and I've been playing CS:S haha. I'll get some different objects and or weapons done when I get around to it. Things'll pick up faster when I find some more talent to work with
