Is this still true? I just got a new system...and its got another Nvidia card...am I yet again stuck with not playing Shock 2? :weird:
Oh wow...been a member for almost 5 years now...I feel like I deserve a cupcake.

I've only ever played SS2 on Nvidia cards.

Same here. I've never had a graphics card that wasn't Nvidia, and I've always been able to play SS2.

Same here, I've always had nvidia cards.
I wonder if I can get it going with my new 8800GTX....

I also have only used NVidia, but I know there were some problems with some of the older ones, which I'm sure you won't be using.

I'm using a 7900 GTX with 84.21 drivers and SS2 runs as nicely as it did under it's "native environment" back in 1999.

I've ran it without any problems on:
tnt2
geforce2mx
geforce4ti4200
9800pro
6800GT
7800GTX256
X1950XTX
8800GTS
So it's ran fine on loads of nvidia cards for me (and a few ati cards, just for fun).

sounds like whatever your problem was last time was not the fault of an nvidia card. SS2 works fine on a 5200, a 5500, AND a 6200TC.

I haven't run SS2 in a while; at least since upgrading to an nVidia 7950GT, so I just tried it.
Works fine here. Running Forceware 93.71.
If only T1 would run... :( Wait, haven't tried that either since upgrading...
Cheers,
