Insert smug 7900GT comment here.
High five!
I'm also gonna give props to the streamline mod. While it didn't do anything for me performancewise, since installing it, I haven't experienced any random crashes. That alone makes it nifty as hell.

Thanks for that mod! It increased FPS a bit indeed . However, it still lowers to zero sometimes after loading area or autosaving :(
I don't know what's with this computer. I've been through the whole troubleshooting threads about PC specs and found a lot of people using similarly powerful computers. And they do not complain. :(

Do you know what your AGP aperture size is set to, in the bios?
I got a performance increase from my 6600GT when I set the aperture size from the default, to 256mb ages ago. I have mine set to 512mb now, since I have 2gb system memory. Maybe you could try it too?

Well, it's default 64 :o
But barely I can set it any higher for I only got 512mb system memory. :(
Or can I set 256mb for AGP? Or at least 128 :(
Sluggs on 18/4/2007 at 16:10
Hmm... I think you might be OK setting it to 128. If you experience any oddness, you can always set it back to the default.

64 meg is way too low. Go at least 128, and experiment a bit with 256 to see how it goes.

Do not exceed 128mb, otherwise GPFs are going to start happening like crazy.
Also get more RAM, ~s:a:n:i:t:y~.

That looks like the only choice, I checked bios and found no option of changing memory settings for AGP :( (it's ASUS A8N-SLI)
My upgrate has to wait for I'm earning money to buy Nikon D200 so any other advise for now is VERY MUCH appreciated :p
omg, it's so offtopic!
EDIT:
Damn. I should read more books.
It's a PCIExpress board. There is no AGP on the A8N SLi. Splendid.
Sluggs on 19/4/2007 at 07:47
You can blame me for that. I went and assumed that yours was also an AGP card. :o
Yep, you gotta get yourself some more memory!
I think I'd better stop fagging this thread up now! :o

Yeah let's go back to SI :)
I can't help being curious which level you all are :)
Fighting most creatures is rather easy even at expert, and I think it's because I'm currently level 5 (see Cure for vampirism thread, and Ryushi's New Character thread :p )
Tell me it's much harder at higher levels or I'll get a bit disappointed :)
