I just saw it. It's even worse than I imagined, which makes it totally awesome. The acting is atrocious. Even a guy who is actually Irish, and plays the role of an Irish guy, sounds fake.
Sounds like the movie knows excactly what it's supposed to be.
Do the critters look (at least slightly) fake as well?

I'd see it, but wouldn't want anyone seeing me see it.
No no, you must take all of your friends and go. I'd do the same - willingly - just to run the risk of having all of them empty their tubs of popcorn over my head.

Slightly? That's an understatement. Isn't it noticeable already in the trailer? ;) The scenes of the shark charging against the ships, while the projectiles fired by them explode all around him are a must. Usually followed by some pinnacles of acting, when the ship's captains say 'Target destroyed!' (which is, evidently, then followed by the shark biting the ships in half). Also, some CGI scenes are repeated several times, almost in a loop.
The scientists keep referring to the shark as a Megalodon, but they don't seem to have the slightest idea of what a Megalodon was. Megalodons would reach around 18-20m in length, and that shark would have to be at least twenty times bigger in order to be able to bite the Golden Gate bridge in half. I think that Lorenzo Lamas is the one who's more correct, by referring to the shark as 'sharkzilla'.
Also, for some reason, as the movie goes on Debbie Gibson seems to annoyingly remind me more and more of Barbra Streisand :p

Sounds perfect.
Only bad thing is that it won't be shown in theatres (at least here).

Yeah, that Scotsman is so fake looking and there's no way he could fight a giant octopus and play the pipes at the same time.
Sulphur on 20/5/2009 at 08:02
you could just get the octopus to do that, that's what all the suckers are for

For the record: best movie ever.
