at some point around twoish years ago I came across an interview type thing by the creator of the shalebridge cradle talking about some of the patients, but I cant seem to find it now. If anyone knows what I mean a link would be much appreciated.

no, but thanks anyway. I think i found it through thief wiki. the interview was with jordan thomas i believe.

Jordan himself mostly talks about game design, but the article also contains (among other things) a sort of backstory about the patients and what happened. It's actually a fantastic piece of writing.

I've read the journey into the cradle article frequently, and while it does have some good information its not what I'm looking for. the one I'm thinking of may have been on a forum of some sort and was mostly talking about the tallow man.

i always wondered why in all thief games you can never get to shalebridge city, one part of map in thief 3 has the gate to get there but no way to open it, in thief 2 one mission in city you get key to shalebridge gate but mission ends after you get through it, yes we get to explore the hospital place in thief 3 but if you notice before you go in and go around outside as much as possible those walls are so high i find it hard to believe walls around a place like that would be that tall, maybe there is some lore about that part of the city ,maybe if they ever make a thief 4 they can add a level in that part of the city so we can check it out
seems like a deep mystery we go to explore more of the murlocks in thief 3 compared to 3 thief games of shalebridge, maybe garrett might want to retire there???
