'Immersive fantasy game' is a bit of a contradiction in terms, I think.
Respectfully, I disagree. If the entire game were like this trailer, it would be immersive as Hell. The trailer is what I would call "immersive fantasy;" my worry is that the game won't live up to that, and will instead be less-than-immersive fantasy, like
Oblivion.
Oblivion was rather immersive in most aspects, but it also contained a lot "unimmersive" elements such as the glass armour and the horrid conversation minigame. Not to mention the design of many of the creatures.
Happily, I'm not seeing anything unimmersive in the trailer, just super immersive stuff. But I'm worried that it might not be representative, because so often trailers aren't.

Take out all the parts that actually make the Elder Scrolls universe unique? That sounds like a
great idea...
</sarcasm>
Yes, because green-skinned "orcs" are
so unique. It isn't as though numerous massive multi-billion-dollar franchises have been using them ever since they originally decided to try to disguise their blatant rip-off of Mr. Tolkein's old idea.
Cat-people and lizard-people have been done quite a few times before, too.

So you take them out for instalment five and leave yourself open to charges of inconsistency with the established gameworld?

In this case, late is better than never. And it isn't as though it couldn't be done gracefully and seamlessly—who ever said that the greenskins and catmen inhabit Skyrim, anyway?
Not that it would be the first time that something stupid has been "retconned" out. Of course, when something good is so removed, that sucks. But we aren't talking about that situation. And going by the trailer, it looks like they may have already figured out which elements are silly and which are cool. All there is to do is wait and see.

The Khajiit and Argonians are one of the distinguishing features of The Elder Scrolls universe, they can't just take them out. And Daggerfall was doing not-just-mindlessly-evil orcs long before the likes of Warcraft 3 retconned their orcs into being misunderstood and demonically possessed in the first games.
Frankly, I'd still love to see an Elder Scrolls game take place in Black Marsh, which ought to be very far from the overly standard fantasy setting of Oblivion.
I do wish that the race you played made more of a difference in the grand scheme of things. Even in Morrowind, where the majority of Khajiits and Argonians were slaves, no one batted an eye at you if you played as one yourself.

Fair enough. They aren't
that cliche, I guess, and while I maintain that they're a bit silly, at least they aren't particularly cartoon-like.

My problem with the
Oblivion "orcs" is that they're green, like ~95% of the so-called orks out there ever since
Warhammer tried to one-up the source they ripped off from.

All playable races from Oblivion are confirmed for Skyrim. Sucks to be Sg3.

I suspect this is because the consoles are lead platforms and they don't support it - hopefully this isn't a sign that the PC will get a thoughtless port.
The PC will highly likely be properly optimised, mod support is featured out of the box for one (SDK will be available at launch).
Fallout 3 had quicksave/quickload and utilised the full keyboard:- with plenty of shortcut keys for each tab of the stats screen (Pipboy) and weapon/item quickslots, etc. I doubt that they'll drop the ball in this regard with Skyrim. (A few overlooked outliers, here and there, like reload and holster being bound to the same key. Massive font UI, etc. Nothing major enough that makes one want to go into an Angry Internet Man rage though.)
