All the drama of the OP being deleted aside.
I think Fett and Chade are much closer to my views than anybody else. Especially on the "normal people aren't sober all the time" views. (sorry gunny, not trying to pick on you)
I dont drink. I don't have time for that in my life and I refuse to give up any bit of control over my actions to a chemical of any kind. I've been married for 3 years now and my wife is pregnant with our first. I am her second husband and she is 6 1/2 years older than i am. It was a long search where i hadn't been in a meaningful relationship in 5 years because I got burned, and everytime I tried to enter a relationship that was similiar to the one i got burned in, it began to turn out the same so I didn't commit, which made for a few very angry women. My wife had been divorced for 2 years after being married for nearly 10. I got to know her because we played in a band together, and I saw how she dealt with the hardships of going through a divorce. She worked hard at being the person she wanted to see in the mirror. and now we're happy even if every so often i might feel the way fett did when he said not every day of his marriage he feels like he is in love. Everybody has emotions that flare up or do odd things from time to time.
Yeah, it seems like he might be putting people in a box. but he also got burned pretty badly the last time around it seems. That screws you up for awhile if you had your heart and soul invested in it, and if you want to argue that point than good luck. Go pop a CD or vinyl into your stereo and tell me otherwise. He also mentioned he had been dating, which shows that he's trying, not just judging, so he isn't just grouping everybody together, he is trying to find out who people are. But if you go on a date and she shares some vacuous viewpoint, and things don't get any better for the rest of the date, than I think you've done your job to find out this person isn't for you.
Keep working on you Duckman, Do what you're impassioned about and at some point you might just run into somebody else who works as hard as you do. Worry about it then, don't go seeking, just surround yourself with people like yourself. And don't delete anymore of your posts like that. Seriously! everybody on this forum has to take the piss every so often.

I have clinical depression because I don't drink and party.
Fixed.

Well, I didn't mean to upset people and I totally see how I came off as a prick. So I apologies to everyone. I'm thuroughly embarrassed now and i changed the pword on my old account because I didn't want to use it again cuz I'll likely make an ass of myself again so I made this account to appologies :erg: I didn't mean to sound like such a dick, all my thoughts came out wrong. Sorry guys :/

I think it would be more accurate to say, don't come to TTLG with angst.
