Thus began the reign of Simon The Legless.

Oglaf is great

It is.
My favourite comic is the 'Perhaps it's the fountain of doubt' one. And ironically, there's not a whit of sex or crassness in there.

I think the one I like most is 'Labyrinth', if only for the guy's face in the last panel. No sex here either :]

I don't really get the "the mighty minds of CommChat" self-immolation response that we see around here so often. I thought there were a few thoughtful responses, and there was a normal share of zings as anything. Nothing particularly worse about this one.
It just seems, if you've spent any more than a few days around here you know what response you're going to get, a mixed bag of the helpful and the zing (which anyway just represents individuals and not the whole forum or the whole topic). And when you see other people self-destructing their OP time after time in the same way, so many times a year like almost on a schedule, practically the exact same response with even the same language "Oh CommChat you're too good for me; oh high and mighty TTLG blah blah; why did I think the great CommChat would care about MY PROBLEMS and be helpful?!", I mean, can anyone see that happen time after time and still go out of their way to recreate the exact same situation that blows up their own emotions in the exact same way? That's what makes it seem so strange; the same response practically verbatim like this is the first time anyone has ever had to tolerate such scandal. I guess it's a lesson people have to keep seeing to get it. (This is aside from the weirdness of people still having emotions on the internet at all... Simple fact: Personal info online makes you emotional and want to self-immolate. So if you can't handle it; don't do it! But even better is just taking it for what it is; some people are cool, some dicks, most cool and dicks at the same time. So appreciate what's genuinely cool and what's a fair zing and fire back at what isn't.)
Um ... it's like I started this post with a point but now I'm at the end of it and am not really sure what it was going to be. So ... Yeah. I should also take my own advice and not have the same reaction to this recurring situation anyway, since we did all really learn it ages ago.
Also, I didn't really understand how being "duckman2" makes anything different from being "duckman", but I'll let that pass. But anyway, be cool little duck man. Anything that doesn't kill you makes you a stronger person. Roll with it.

That's the way we've always dunnit and everyone better get used to it!
Hello? Anyone here?

I'm seeing an almost 50/50 ratio of meaningful responses to joking jibes on the first page, which I think is a very respectable ratio and let's face it, it's an online gaming forum thread titled Sexual Frustration in which the OP talks about not wanting to have sex. Are we not allowed to poke fun at something so patently ridiculous?
I respect that much of the jokes weren't coming from that angle, instead were more character assassinations which I don't particularly agree with yet were set up by the tone of the OP.

Now who's Telling It Like It Is?
Scots Taffer on 7/10/2010 at 03:01
Well, fuck! Why bother if that's the prevailing attitude?
Who's keeping score...
