Anyone really know what they're doing with the editor? I can't even get sections of building interiors to hook together. Whenever I place an object in the render window, it's always higher than the previous piece, and I can't figure out how to change elevation. It certainly isn't the Unreal editor. It could use a 3d grid, and definitely have a better control system. Or atleast a listing of editor controls. I can't figure out how to create NPCs, and when I modified one, I couldn't find the Barter inventory. Really frustrating when I want to build a house and have it only available through purchase from an NPC. Can anyone help me? I've seen people talk about scripting stuff, but I don't know how they figured it all out. The Tutorials suck that came with the game, and it's really pissing me off. I just want to build a house and create a merchant!:mad:

I was having the problem of my building pieces being at a much higher elevation as well. To get them all on the same level, select the piece with your mouse and press F. It should drop it down to the level the rest are on. You can also fine tune it's position by adjusting the values (double click the object to bring up properties) if you'd prefer. There is a checkbox in the properties menu that will keep it on the same level as you have it when you try to move it, but I forget what it was called. Should be only one or two in there though, so make sure to check it if your pieces keep popping up to a higher elevation when you try to move them.
I haven't played around with scripting yet, so sorry I can't help you there.

There is also a help file included with the editor, and while it may not be great it does have a page describing how to do stuff. It's worth reading.
If you select whatever object you want to move in the render window and hold down "z", you can move the piece up and down.

this editor is friggin horrible the help file is worthless and there aren't many usefull FAQ's on it. Really crappily done. Maybe its cool when you learn it but learning it with no help sucks. Im still trying to figure out how to customize what my new race looks like
