I tried to load (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131798) this thread and got a service unavailable message. The rest of TTLG works fine.

I mean it's a pretty bad thread but this is just weird.

I also got that error earlier, while trying to access my usual "threads I've posted in with recent activity" search.

Ditto. It also happened for CommChat (the whole list-of-threads page) for a few seconds then was okay. But that thread has been like that for hours.

The error showing up for all the threads a while ago was because the threads table in the MySQL database had crashed, but I repaired it. I'm not sure what's causing the error with the thread dethtoll linked to, but it is probably a similar problem, but with a single row, rather than a whole table. I've currently set off a check of all the tables.

This may take a while and cause the forums to run a bit slowly whilst it is in progress.

Ok, I remembered to check the Event Viewer and MySQL does log those kind of errors there. It was down to a couple of broken rows in the table that holds all the posts that have had their BBCode parsed.

I repaired it, and it's working fine now.
